FSC. Conference 2023
The FSC. Conference 2023 theme Building Consumer Confidence reflected the FSC. Vision to ‘Grow the Financial Confidence and Wellbeing of New Zealanders’.
This 2023 theme built on those from previous conferences including Growing Financial Confidence and Wellbeing in Aotearoa last year, our first in-person event since 2019.
We welcomed over 500 delegates, sponsors and speakers at The Cordis Hotel in Auckland on 15-17 August 2023, and thank everyone for their support in making this event a success.

"I loved every minute of this incredible event. Speakers, accessibility of facilities, networking and the quality of the event was absolutely world class."
"In my opinion, the Conference and the Awards Dinner get better every year. The quality of speakers and organisation has set the bar high for next year- bring it on!"
"It's one of the best conferences I know of. The way the FSC can bring the whole industry together, including the regulators and politicians, to discuss a topical theme is very impressive and, in my view, pretty unique."

FSC. Conference Theme 2023
The theme of the Financial Services Council conference in 2023 was Building Consumer Confidence.
As part of our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, we recognised the importance of supporting all New Zealanders.
This theme was therefore about focussing on how we as an industry could support those who need it most, in all regions of New Zealand and of all gender identities, sexual orientations, cultures, ethnicities, ages and backgrounds.

Conference Charity Partner
Good Shepherd New Zealand
The FSC and Good Shepherd NZ have developed a wonderful partnership over the past couple of years, with the FSC supporting recent Economic Harm Awareness Day campaigns and Good Shepherd NZ an integral partner of the FSC's 2022 It Starts With Action campaign.
We were delighted to announce them as our charity partner for the 2023 Conference.
Good Shepherd NZ is a charitable non-government organisation that was established to address the critical, contemporary issues facing women, girls and whānau. The work they do to address economic harm, get families out of debt, create healthy financial relationships and much more is so incredibly important to FSC's vision to grow the financial confidence and wellbeing of New Zealanders. They are currently seeking donations from both corporate and individuals to continue their Economic Harm Support Service, a much-needed service for people to deal with the financial impact of family violence.

Tech Alley and Pitch Perfect 2023
Tech Alley is marketplace where attendees could meet with pioneering FinTech, InsurTech, HealthTech, EduTech and RegTech Kiwi companies, learn about their products and understand how they could help enhance their businesses and the financial services sector.
Tech Alley was located as part of the main sponsorship and partner exhibition area.
The Financial Services Council aims to fuel innovation in the sector and Pitch Perfect sparks that flame. All startup tech companies and Tech Alley attendees were welcome to pitch their tech at our breakfast session on 21 September, and the winners were invited to pitch their innovation on the main plenary stage later that day. See the winners here.
Thank you to our Tech Alley and Pitch Perfect partner
The Voices of Hope
The Financial Services Council and Voices of Hope have formed a wonderful partnership over the past few years and we were delighted to announce them as our charity partner for the 2022 Conference.
The work they do to create and implement change for mental health through stories of lived experience, is so incredibly important on an individual, communal and global scale. All donations make a huge difference to the work Voices of Hope do and are greatly appreciated.

Recent FSC. Conferences
Growing Financial Confidence & Wellbeing in Aotearoa 2022
The FSC. Conference 2022 theme reflected the FSC. Vision to ‘Grow the Financial Confidence and Wellbeing of New Zealanders’.
Our 2022 theme built on those from previous conferences including ReGenerations, and acted as our guide as we continue our journey through uncertain pandemic and economic times.
We welcomed over 645 delegates, sponsors and speakers back in person to the FSC. Conference 2022 at The Cordis Hotel in Auckland over the 21 + 22 September 2022.
ReGenerations Conference 2021
Our 2021 conference 'ReGenerations' built on previous themes of Wellbeing, Sustainability and Guardianship. The Maori whakataukī (or proverb), He Waka Eke Noa, builds on these themes by highlighting the importance of recovery and going forward together in both good and trying times. With a literal translation 'We are all in this waka (canoe) together' this whakataukī centres in meaning around our whānau and community: being on the same journey, headed to the same destination and leaving no one behind.
The 2021 conference ran digitally over nine weeks with 16 sessions and two conference day sessions, with breakfast, main plenary and sundowner sessions.
With 148 speakers and over 37 sessions, the ReGenerations Digital Conference 2021 saw over 950 registrations with over 4000 session attendees.
Generations Conference 2020
The 2020 theme, Generations, reflected not only the responsibility that the financial services sector has to support our different generations to save, invest and retire well, but also challenged each and every one of us to be better. Better custodians for future Generations, better at supporting our teams and our customers balance their wellbeing, and better at creating a sustainable future.
The 2020 conference was fully digital over three days, with breakfast, main plenary and sundowner sessions.
With 120+ speakers and over 35 sessions, the Generations Digital Conference 2020 saw 1550 live attendees.
